The flight was late into Hong Kong so many passengers missed their connections and were immediately offered new tickets and hotel room. But not me. After a very long wait, I was given someone else’s ticket at first and then repeatedly lied-to (agent’s name: Vanessa W.) about the availability of a hotel room. At first she told me I had to sleep in the lounge, and then that there weren’t any hotel rooms available because there had been a fire — and even later she was uncertain whether a room would be provided!
